Program - CPP Events & TrainingFuture Metropark Events for Lil’ Brave Segments: These events are totally sponsored and conducted by the Huron - Clinton Metropark Authority and are recommended by the CPT Committee as great opportunities to earn appropriate Lil’ Brave segments. Dens, packs, and troops select and schedule the timing of their own CPT events, taking into considerations the few annual events that CPT Committee conducts each year. The lookout training is an overview of the CPT programs. It is held at two locations one is on the east side of the council and the other is on the west side of the council. This training includes information on the Lil' Brave and credential hike programs, as well as our historical programs. It also includes a "mini" Lil'Brave event to help you understand the process, and advance information about some future CPT events. The next Lookout Training sessions will be held on January 15, 16 and 23, 2011, plus April 5 2011. Specific locations and times plus more information is also available on the Lookout Training flier. Online Registration: Registration is avilable by by visiting the GLC Training Calendar page. Snow Snakes Snow snakes are a fun wintertime outdoor activity following a Native American tradition. A Snow Snake starts with a one inch diameter dowel that is 3 feet long with steel weighted added for speed. Scouts may then carve and varnish the stick and prepare for racing down a snow-packed run. The Chief Pontiac Programs committee is selling snow snake kits for $5 each at the customer service counters at both the Waterford and Detroit locations. Snow Snakes may be ordered in quantities of ten or more on line. Smaller quantities may be purchased in person at the service ecenter or at a CPP sponsored snow snake event. Snow Snake Orders There are program dates and times available on the Snow Snake flyer. Snow Snake flier Events at Fort Pontiac See the Fort Pontiac. Page for a list of scheduled events |
